Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Nextroom only uses cookies that are strictly necessary: to keep you signed in and to keep the site secure. We don’t use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and we don’t let other companies track you on Nextroom.
Because these cookies are strictly necessary for the service you’ve asked for, the law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) doesn’t require us to ask for your consent, which is why there’s no cookie banner. If we ever want to use any other kind of cookie, we’ll ask you first and update this page.
The cookies we use
sb-…-auth-token (sometimes split into parts ending .0, .1)
- Set by:
- Nextroom, using our sign-in provider Supabase
- What it’s for:
- Keeps you signed in as you move between pages. Without it you can’t use your account.
- How long it lasts:
- Until you log out, or up to 400 days if you don’t.
sb-…-auth-token-code-verifier
- Set by:
- Nextroom, using Supabase
- What it’s for:
- Set when you sign up or ask to reset your password, so the link in our email works only in the browser you used. It protects your account from someone else using the link.
- How long it lasts:
- Removed once you’ve used the link.
Cloudflare Turnstile, for example cf.turnstile.u (only if the bot check is switched on)
- Set by:
- Cloudflare
- What it’s for:
- Helps tell people from automated bots on the sign-up, log-in and password reset pages. Cloudflare says Turnstile doesn’t set lasting cookies and isn’t used for advertising.
- How long it lasts:
- A short time, during the check.
__cf_bm (only if Cloudflare’s bot protection is switched on for our domain)
- Set by:
- Cloudflare
- What it’s for:
- Helps Cloudflare block automated attacks on the site.
- How long it lasts:
- 30 minutes.
Other storage
Apart from the items above, Nextroom doesn’t store anything in your browser, such as local storage.
Controlling cookies
You can see and delete cookies in your browser’s settings. If you block the sign-in cookie, you won’t be able to log in. Logging out removes it.
